Racing through turns with your PS Vita is as simple as turning the portable video game system thanks to the Six-axis motion sensing system. Course, it would be a whole lot easier with the Nyko Power Grip.
The Power Grip easily snaps onto the PS Vita and includes two ergonomically designed handles, which should make gaming less strenuous and perhaps more interactive, at least when it comes to racing games. In addition to an all black finish, which is said to match the PS Vita’s, there is a built-in rechargeable battery that purportedly doubles the battery life of the Vita. Though we’re always bit skeptical to a manufacturer’s battery life claims, though Engdaget’s review, published today, states it is on spec.
That all said, note that the Power Grip covers the Vita’s game card slot, so you’ll need to remove it if you wanna swap titles. Another caveat is its size. Though Nyko hasn’t published specific specs, our understanding is that it increases the Vita’s girth by 2/3rd. So the Vita won’t slip into your back pocket when it’s attached, and nor would one expect you to do such thanks to the protruding handles.
The Nyko Power Grip is available now for $30.
