Marshall Adds a Home Speaker to the Mix, the Hanwell
Needless to say, Marshall Amplifiers are iconic. To prove their brand worthiness the company has in recent partnered with a few OEMs, producing not just two sets of headphones, but a fridge that looks like a guitar amplifier. Now on the heals of summer’s end, the company has announced a home speaker.
The Marshall Hanwell home speaker could easily be confused for another one of their guitar amplifiers, albeit in a smaller, more consumer friendly package. That said it sports dual long-throw woofers to produce super lows, and hi-fi tweeters which purportedly yield sharp extended highs. The result? Like sitting in the front row of a concert, at least according to the company. If anything, we’re sure it’s on par with a decent home speaker. Unfortunately, Marshall hasn’t fully disclosed the Hanwell speaker’s specs, but you can see from the pics that it connects via a wired connection, sports the familiar Marshall knobs, and has a down firing bass reflex port.
Unfortunately, we don’t have a price or release date at this time.
