You gotta hand it to Brookstone. It would seem that their entire business model is based on those massaging chairs. Think about it. They draw you into the store for a quick massage, and before you know it you’re wondering the would be aisles. Next, before you can blink an eye, you’re purchasing a babarque spatula and fork with a built-in meat thermometer, or a GPS infused golf ball.
And what better way to draw you in like a bee to honey, than to add an iOS app controller to their sticky web of gadgetry. Unfortunately, it wil only control one massager for now, the OSIM uSqueez Foot & Calf Massager, but that’s good enough for us. It’s connect over Bluetooth and allows you to select soothing (low), pulse (medium) , or energize (high) full-coverage compression and roller massages at the push of your iPhone or iPad’s touchscreen. Course, if you don’t have an iOS device handy you can always make your selection using the manual controls, but that’s so mid 2000 and requires you to physically bend over.
Brookstone sells the OSIM uSqueez App-Controlled Foot & Calf Massager for $400.
Grew up back East, got sick of the cold and headed West. Since I was small I have been pushing buttons - both electronic and human. With an insatiable need for tech I thought "why not start a blog focusing on technology, and use my dislikes and likes to post on gadgets."
