Starting yesterday, Infinity Blade II went on sale in the iTunes App Store.  It’s now $2.99, which is $4 off the original price.  The price cut is in celebration of their newest expansion pack, which is not only free, but is the last of its type.  No word on when that price will expire, but if you’re looking for some hack and slash gaming on the iPad, you probably won’t need to look any where else.

According to Epic Games, the studio behind one of the most successful games in the app store, the Skycages expansion pack is the most action packed of them all.  Players will battle all new enemies such as the Headsman, Petrified Noc, Xyloto, Ryth, and others.  And to take on these foes your hero can now harness the power of the sun in something called  the Solar Transport Energy Blades, a completely new weapon type to be mastered.  In addition to that, gamers will enjoy 30 new items, including magic rings, weapons, shields, helmets, as well as armor to collect, master, and sell.  New achievements, treasure maps, gem forging, as well as exclusive new ClashMob challenges are just some of the additional surprises you can expect.

Yup, you can score all this for the price of $2.99.
