While we still have most of the room in our very dark hearts occupied with the 10225 R2-D2 LEGO Set, we’re thinking we can probably fit in this 1,486-piece Ultimate Collector’s LEGO Star Wars B-wing Star Fighter (model number 10227). It costs $200 and will see a limited production run, so if you want one you better get clicking, running or whatever you do when it comes to hoarding LEGO toys.
Don’t mistake this version with the 435 piece set, though they’re close in price and it would appear that they use similar parts. That said, the designer behind this Star Wars piece of memorabilia had to source parts from a time past, since few LEGOs use round or spherical pieces. Of note, the cockpit levels itself as the B-wing hovers through the air, includes a dedicated display stand and fact plaque that details its size (26-inches wide, and 15-inches high (or 17-inches on the stand).
The LEGO Star Wars B-wing Star Fighter goes on sale this October at LEGO.com.
