Land Rover X-Tech Special Edition
We’d gladly take ownership of an S5, an M3, a 1957 Mustang, and a wide variety of other vehicles that we simply can’t squeeze succinctly into one small blog post. However, when it comes to SUVs the options, while vast and varied, don’t appeal to us in the same fashion. That’s why we’ll gladly accept the Land Rover Defender X-Tech Special Edition into our arms.
While it bears the resemblance of those tried and tested Defenders from a time past, don’t be mistaken as this vehicle has been updated with today’s technology. And by technology we mean all the modern amenities even the biggest of Hollywood producers have come to expect and demand…while on a safari. This includes AC, heated seats, a heated front windscreen, ABS, electronic traction control, central locking, electric windows, and Ebony cloth/leather seats with Lunar contrast stitching. Okay, so it lacks a nav system or an instrument cluster derived from an LCD screen. But who cares, especially when you’ve got meaty off road tires that can probably take you any where you wish to roam, GPS or no GPS.
The Defender X-Tech Special Edition, which starts at about $43,000, comes in Orkney Grey or Nara Bronze with a Santorini Black roof.
