Father’s day has come and gone. Good thing, because we’re terrible when it comes to gift giving, and dare we say Father’s Day is purely a hallmark holiday. Our point? Everyday you should celebrate the person that brought you into this world, provided of course they clothed you, fed you, and taught you a think or two about life – we’re still not too sure about that latter point when it comes to our padres. Nevertheless, here’s a great gift for your pops, or perhaps even your handy mams.
It’s the Craftsman Figure Eight Wrench. Sure, it’s not as exciting as their Assurelink Garage Door opener, but it’s still belongs in any kitchen, tool drawer, or toolbox. At first blush it would appear that the Craftsman Figure Eight wrench only provides four attachments. Not so. Flip it over and you’ll reveal another size. So you’ll be able to wrench not only on nuts that range in size from 8-18mm, but on a variety of shapes that include 6pt, 12pt, 4pt, spline, external torx, and even partially rounded hex fasteners. And to further its utility, the attachments are on a hinge, which should make accessing those hard to reach nuts even easier (there’s definitely a TWSS joke in here).
Craftsman sells it for about $25.
Grew up back East, got sick of the cold and headed West. Since I was small I have been pushing buttons - both electronic and human. With an insatiable need for tech I thought "why not start a blog focusing on technology, and use my dislikes and likes to post on gadgets."
