Sponsored Video: TomTom’s Map Paradise Project Takes you to Fiji with $12,000 (video/contest)
Earlier this week we learned that TomTom has joined forces with Apple to deliver a mapping solution that wil launch with the release iOS 6. With it will come turn-by-turn direction and a free map solution that should rival Google Maps, which has long had the functionality on Android devices. That said, wouldn’t it be great if you could be part of Apple and TomTom history and get paid to do it? Well, now you can and it’s called the Map Paradise competition.
To enter, just visit the TomTom site and tell TomTom why you and your friends are the perfect group to map paradise. If selected, you and up to four friends will be beleaguered with the task of driving around a tropical location in a specially equipped car full of technology that looks like it belongs in a space craft. But that’s not all. They’ll also pay you 10,000 Euros (~$12,500 US) as well as expenses to complete the ever so taxing adventure. That means food, drink, sun tan lotion (you’ll need plenty of it), lodging and more will all be included, and you’ll walk away a hell of a lot richer after two weeks of relaxing.
The locations included are: Fiji, St. Lucia, Mauritius, Cape Verde, and the Seychelles, but something tells us you’ll take any of them. At least one of you will need to be able to drive, and the competition is open to residents from the UK, US, Canada, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Finland, Denmark, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Ireland and South Africa.
