We don’t know about you guys, but Lara Croft was by many account getting a bit annoying.  That is to say her cockiness, or should we say cavalier attitude made her a bit less than palatable.   Good news, because it seems that Square Enix has dialed the character back and decided to reboot her.

This iteration of the game features a young Lara before she attained her rightful name as a Tomb Raider. In fact, she seems to be fairly inexperienced and emotionally much more ensecure as denoted by her cries for help and all together fear.  Square hasn’t made all the details entirely clear, but it would seem some of your weapons include a knife and a home made bow and arrow.  That said, the game seems to be chockfull of action, as we’ve seen through out the series, and as you’ll witness in the above trailer, Lara is placed in many compromising scenarios, many that aren’t suitable for those under 13.  Nonetheless, expect other weapons to come into the mix, such as pistols, machine guns and perhaps even vehicles.

Unfortunately, the game is supposedly set to release on March 5, 2013, so don’t start holding your breath just yet.
