So today I had the luxury of stopping into the Sonos Listening Studio. It recently opened its doors and plans to stay that way for the next 2-years. So if you’re in the LA area, head on over and checkout their full line of wireless speakers, including their just released SUB, which has apparently already sold out.

Make sure you also take a gander at the art work (there are some laser engraved speakers featuring work from Linkin Park‘s new album and John Varvatos), which is currently a bit on the trippy side, but a nice complement to the spaces overall facade. And speaking of facades, the Sonos Studio was specifically built to provide the best audio experience. You might notice the funky pattern on the ceiling. That’s to help dampen some of those unwanted acoustics, or any one that might be speaking a bit too loudly, which could happen after drinking a complementary cup of coffee from Commissary. They’re also offering free WiFi at the space, so if you’re looking for a fun place to get some work done and hang out, stop on, I know I might.
You might have noticed those angled walls. The reason? They’re designed to complement those dampeners on the ceiling and provide the best audio experience possible. If the main room doesn’t meet your fancy, Sonos is also in the process of building out a second, smaller room, that will be the true listening environment, and will soon be completed with leather couches and wooden bookshelves, along with some plant life.
You can check out more info here, but the address is 145 N. La Brea Ave LA, CA.
