There you are biking along, minding your own business when your bike tire goes flat or a nut or screw comes loose. Sure, you could pop into your local bike shop, but you might end up in “line pergatory,” waiting for the tech to get through the other 20 bikes that broke down on that beautiful, crystal clear, sunny day. Or, you could fix it yourself, provided you had the correct set of tools.
The InCOG Biketool are a set of tools that are designed to fit inside your bicycle’s handlebars. The system is modular, so you can add or remove tools as necessary, and is designed around a rope like system so it can fit any shape handlebar. There appears to be two types: one for fixing flat tires, and one that contains a variety of standard sized bits. Lastly, the whole system is incognito since it slides into the handlebars, so any lurking thief will be none the wiser.
Right now the InCOG Biketool is more an idea than a product. However, it currently has 866 preorders under its belt, so it’s safe to assume that it will go into production. Preorder cost to you is $60, which isn’t too bad for piece of mind.
Grew up back East, got sick of the cold and headed West. Since I was small I have been pushing buttons - both electronic and human. With an insatiable need for tech I thought "why not start a blog focusing on technology, and use my dislikes and likes to post on gadgets."
