A Bluetooth headset can be a bit passe, not to mention their small size means its easy to lose them in the clutter of your would be desk. Your better choice you ask? A Bluetooth handset, duh.
The iG1 isn’t the first of its kind that we’ve seen, which means its functionality isn’t original, but we’re most certainly digging the handsets forward thinking design. The base of the iG1 serves as a charging and syncing dock, provided you’ve got it plugged into your computer’s USB port. Since it pairs via Bluetooth to your iPhone it won’t be necessary to have it in the dock, though it will ensure that you don’t drain the iPhone’s battery call after call. Siri is apparently fully compatible with the iG1, so making calls or sending a text message is as simple as pushing the button found on the inside of the handset and speaking your mind. Good Call Bro, the company behind the iG1, says that the battery is good for up to 4 hours talk time on a single charge, and that the iG1 can mimic your iPhone’s ring tones so you don’t confuse it with your laptop’s tones.
If you’re down with iG1 you can pick it up from their store for $79.99 in black, or pay a $20 premium for the white finish.
Grew up back East, got sick of the cold and headed West. Since I was small I have been pushing buttons - both electronic and human. With an insatiable need for tech I thought "why not start a blog focusing on technology, and use my dislikes and likes to post on gadgets."
