Assassin’s Creed 3 E3 Gameplay Footage (video/E3)
Aside from the occasional crotch shot (see above video), we love the gore of Ubisoft’s latest and greatest, Assassin’s Creed 3. Today, the Canadian based game developer showed off additional gameplay footage and unlike the imagery we brought you in early May, this one isn’t a trailer, but an actually player demoing the game at E3, which is transpiring in downtown’s LA Convention Center starting tomorrow and running through Thursday.
The beginning starts in a movie like manner with the main character running with the elk. That’s followed by a quick kill, which is paired with a wolf attack, which you must defend yourself against. In past write ups we’ve told you that the protagonist in this iteration of the game doesn’t take sides, but now it’s pretty evident that you’ll be fighting against the Red Coats, though as stated you’re there for the Templar, not the Patriots. In any event, the fighting system looks to be vastly improved, boasting greater fluidity and more diverse attack sets. Unfortunately, we’re still faced with a similar pacing that has plagued earlier versions of the game, but that might be more a personal quip than anything else.
Assassin’s Creed 3 will hit retail shelves on October 30th.
