The cookoo Watch Kickstarter Project (video)
In today’s digital age, checking your phone for updates every couple of minutes has become a nasty habit for many. The cookoo watch that’s currently looking for funding money on Kickstarter cleverly helps you manage your phone, so that you don’t have to always be checking it for updates. The innovative watch will notify you of any phone updates in real time, even if you can’t hear, see or reach it. It can connect to the latest Bluetooth Smart Ready iOS or Android devices, such as the iPhone 4S, new iPad, HTC One X and the new Samsung Galaxy S3, with many more phones to come
The project was created by Peter Hauser, a pilot and engineer, who was fascinated with his grandmother’s German cuckoo clock’s ability to pronounce each hour and his ability to hear it no matter where he was located in the house.
The analog watch features a smart, user-friendly interface that easily keeps you connected and help manage your phone, apps, and social networks via its easy-to-read icons that display all the information you need. It connects to your smartphone via the Connected app that allows you to customize and control the alerts and notifications you receive on the watch. You can easily configure alerts for calls, text messages, emails, Facebook chats, reminders and more. Its COMMAND button can be customized to do check in on Facebook, tag your location and even be used as a remote for your phone’s camera. The cookoo watch is also water resistant and doesn’t need to be recharged since the standard button-cell battery can last for up to a year and is easy to replace by yourself.
It needs to reach its goal of $150,000 in a little over a month and it’s not even half way there yet! If you pledge $80, you’ll receive one black first edition watch in your choice of black-on-black or brushed stainless on black, the free Android iOS or Android app and free shipping. The project says it will retail the cookoo watch for $99.95 when it hits store shelves this fall if all goes well with the Kickstarter campaign.
