Nokia Lumia 900 Cracked

Spawned in the horrendous heat of a Los Angeles winter, James was born with an incessant need to press buttons. Whether it was the car radio, doorbells on Halloween or lights, James pushed, pressed and prodded every button. No elevator was left unscathed, no building intercom was left un-rung, and no person he’s known has been left un-annoyed.

  1. OMG mine cracked in literally the same pattern ! mine was knocked out of my hand, but I was sitting down and it only fell like two feet. That’s scary

  2. Mine did the same thing…its very upesting and I have no insurance…I’ve ony had it for a few months. It sucks!

  3. So disappointed in this phone. I dropped mine getting into my car and the screen shattered. No insurance and no upgrade until 2014, so we’ll see how long it lasts.

  4. I have had my Nokia Lumia 900 for about three months- no insurance.
I don’t recall having dropped it, and had even plugged it in to charge. After the charge, I went to use the phone, and found that it had cracked all over on the inside glass. AT&T says not their issue and will not replace the phone. I had a LOT of issues when I first got the phone including having technical issues that AT&T admitted they were not trained to fix. Hate the phone, back to droid for me!

  5. I have this phone and mine cracked then a few days later completely shattered… I dont want to pay the 125 dollar fee for a new one through insurance :-(

  6. Mine is 17 days old, to be exact, and tonight mine cracked along the capacitive buttons from a fall of about 12″. NOT happy and with no insurance — I’m s.o.l.

Bought it no commitment from AT&T website. :(

  7. Im on my second lumia 900 in less then a months time. Both have cracked across the entire screen. No reason at all. The second one I literally watched it crack when I picked it up off my desk. Art is sending me a droid replacement. Ridiculous

  8. Same thing happened with my Lumia. I have had it for about a a month now, I dropped it from about a foot off the ground and the bottom half of my screen completely shattered. This is the first time I have ever dropped this phone. I am not impressed with this phone or the windows market. I am definitely going back to a droid!!!

I had mine 10 days, it fell 12″ and shattered also! Nokia wont cover it! Waiting for it to come back in the mail to find out why :( Not to happy with Nokia right now for not standing behind their product. Not as reviewed!

  10. I have had the Nokia Lumia 900 for only one week, Purchased a case to protect it from situations like this. I dropped it yesterday. Picked it up and didnt even look at it because I was confident that it could not have cracked. However, about an hour later I went to use it and sure enough…..It is cracked from top to bottom. I am having an awful time finding out where and how to replace the glass without paying for another phone (as since I have only had it for a week, I didn’t add insurance yet). I am terribly sad and upset. ANY SUGGESTIONS????

  11. I had same problem. the screen got cracked from a drop of less than 12 inches on a concrete floor. The phone is working fine. Its only one and half months old.

  12. Mine cracked in the exact same place and I just dropped it on my desk, maybe 5 inches.  Exact same place.

  13. Mine cracked in the exact same place and I just dropped it on my desk, maybe 5 inches.  Exact same place.

  14. I have a Nokia 900 cyan, got it at lauch in april 9.
It broke the glass from a fall no bigger than 12 inches.. Ridiculous.

  15. I have a Nokia 900 cyan, got it at lauch in april 9.
It broke the glass from a fall no bigger than 12 inches.. Ridiculous.

  16. The same thing happened to my Lumia! A small fall on it’s back and the screen cracked on the corner (from the pressure I’m assuming). So far no one will help – I’ve had the phone for 1 week. :(

Where did you buy it? It should be under warranty for 30 days at least, so you can definitely get a replacement.

I think it might just be a bad glass in the batch.  Gorilla glass is harder to make and any contamination can weaken the glass.  Might just be your luck.  I have dropped mine quite a few times already.  But so far so good.  But glass is glass, There is always a weak point some where.  Hopefully your replacement will work out for you.  :)

  18. Sounds like a tiny flaw crept into the glass during the manufacturing process. One in a million, probably.
