Mr. ED Bookend Floats a Light onto your Bookshelf

We’re no strangers to bookends here at Gadget Review. Our favorite has to be either the Star Wars or Floating Bookends. But at the end of the day, those bookends only did one thing, which is support a set of books and ultimately prevent them from falling over. That’s great and all, but every bookshelf deserves some incandescent lighting, no?
The Mr. Ed Bookend comes from a man named Roderick Vos. Unlike the traditional bookend, this one has a 40watt light bulb fixture squeezed between what appear to be two books, which are actually two pieces of cast aluminum finished in black. In case you’re wondering why this bookend is called Mr. Ed, it’s not named after the TV show, but instead based on Thomas Edison, as in the guy that invented the light bulb.
You can get the Mr. Ed bookend for about $300.
