  1. I bought a TV mount for my fireplace at Mantelount.com. I have a 70 inch sharp aquos. The mount is solidly built, was easy to install with good instructions. Customer service got back to me right away and was helpful and it costs less than anything like it. Its easy to lift and lower in front of the fireplace and easily clears the mantel. they the same pistons as you find on a car for hatchbacks. I would recommend Mantelmount if you want to lower your tv from above the fireplace.

  2. I also recently installed this mount. Only thing like on the market that I could find, so I am glad that it seems very solidly built and that install was pretty painless. Love that it gives me multiple positions for viewing from couch and swiveled for viewing from kitchen.

  3. We installed the Dynamic Down and Out Swivel Mount about two months ago above our fireplace. We think it is an excellent mount and very high quality. The mount is easy to maneuver: we have a 55″ Samsung and are able to bring it down (clearing the mantle) to eye level when sitting on the couch. One recommendation: place the wiring and electrical outlet at the lower end of the TV so that they are not visible when you bring down the TV.
