Think morning and you’ll probably conjure up images filled with orange juice, coffee, cereal and what else, toast.  That’s right toast is a big part of most people’s morning routine.  You stuff the bread in the toaster’s slot and minutes later its comes packing a crispy facade.  So it only stands to reason that many a people should find this iPhone alarm clock, the Day Maker, a nice addition to their morning routine.

Inside the case of this minimalist alarm clock, are two slots designed to fit an iPhone.  Like bread into a toaster, you push the iPhone into the slot, but instead of cooking your handset you activate the iPhone’s built-in alarm or the Day Maker alarm clock’s app.  And much like when the bread is done toasting, the iPhone will spring up from the slot when the alarm begins to ring.  To snooze you simple push the iPhone back into its slot.  And for those who insert two iPhones, there is a “pull tab” on the rear. In addition to charging your iPhone and automatically setting the iPhone’s alarm, there is a set of stereo speakers and a custom app that allows you to share your snooze data with other Day Maker owners.

The Day Maker is a Kickstarter project.  They’re looking for $275,000, which by comparison to most projects seems a tad greedy.  That said, they’ve provided a break down of their costs on the following page.  They expect to get the Day Maker to market by the end of the year if not early 2013 in the event that Apple releases the iPhone 5 in that time span.
