Street Fighter, the game, will always have a place in our hearts. It was and is an iconic 2D fighting game that for a long time set the bar when it came to play control, graphics, sound effects and fun. To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the game, which we’re still having a hard time excepting, Capcom will release this box set on September 18th for $149.99.
The set is available for the Xbox 360 and the PS3. Included in the pack are 4 playable games: Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, Street Fighter III 3rd Strike Online Edition, and Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition, as well as the entire costume DLC and Street Fighter X Tekken including all character and Swap Costume DLC. Those games alone are arguably worth $200, no?
Capcom has also stuffed the box set with 2-blu-ray movies that include a documentary detailing the “profound” influence the game has had on fans in addition to a collection of Street Fighter anime movies from over the years. But that’s hardly the cool stuff. There is a light-up Ryu Statue that stands 8-inches tall, an 11-disc soundtrack, 64-page hardcover art book, Ryu’s belt (full size) and of course the always necessary certificate of authenticity.
