Strike any where matches might be more vital than an axe, a tent or food on a camping trip. Get those matches wet though, and you’ll find yourself shivering by a damp oak tree with uncooked squirrel hanging just feet from your empty stomach. Stupid, because if you had the Strike you’re matches would be dry and unbroken.
Machined from stainless steel, and then brushed, the Strike distributes one match at a time from its dial twist open and needless to say is a perfect complement to any fire starter, camping or not. For those who don’t opt for those strike-anywhere-fire-hazard like matches, the barrel has been lined with that matchbook textured material so you can light the match upon exit, provided of course you have them facing the right way. The Strike holds up to 45 matches that load from the bottom of the Strike, which also doubles as another ignition point.
Quirky plans to sell this handy device, that’s assuming they are able to garner enough interest behind the project/concept. Currently the projected price for the Strike is about $10. Keep in mind this is projected and somewhat based on feedback from the Quirky community.
