Porn Sites Safer to Browse Than Blogs

It seems porn sites are safer to browse than your average blog, according to a report by Symantec. The report, “Internet Security Threat Report, summarizes threats, hacks and stat of last year in online security and what was found that spam is decreasing while clickjacking is going up, with the most common web threats found on personal blogs.
According to the report, sites hosting pornographic content ranked tenth, while religious and ideological sites had triple the average number of threats per infected site than those porn ones. Symantec thinks this is because porn site owners invest in making sure their sites are malware free. Only 2.4 percent of the 52 million URLs that the company scanned showed malware infection were porn sites, where personal blogs and self-hosted websites were the ones with the real problem. This just gives you the green light to cruise all your favorite online porn sites with any worry of malware…but beware for those blogs!
