You better start working on your basketball skills cause this fall will see the release of “NBA Baller Beats,” Majesco Entertainment’s exclusive game on Kinect for the Xbox 360. From the publisher who released the successful Zumba Fitness video game franchise comes what’s touted to be “ a fun, high energy and first-of-its kind participative basketball video game.” The game is played with an actual basketball in the comforts of your own living room.

But rather than actually putting you in an actual basketball game and you moving as you play, the game is described as more of a rhythm/music game than a dribbling coach. Players will have to bounce the ball to the beat of the music and visual cues are a line of basketballs that flows on a musical trail. Players will need to perform specific moves along the way. So moves might include a crossover from one hand to the other, a dribble between the legs, a pass fake or shot fake. The tracklist for the game will feature music from big-time artists like Kanye West, Run DMC, Gorillaz, Common, Tiesto and more. Expect to hear more about it at this year’s E3.
