Guns, guns, guns.  Sure, they’re abundantly dangerous but everyone knows in the case of an apocalypse machetes, throwing knives, shurikens and axes will be the weapon of choice.  After all, bullets are finite and with the world in complete turmoil and chaos, manufacturing will likely come to a grinding halt.

ThinkGeek is staying well ahead of the curve and is offering what appears to be a half way decent axe, called the M48 Ranger Hawk Axe for just $59.99.  Not a half bad price when you consider its features set.  There is a nylon reinforced handle built partially (30%) from fiberglass wrapped in black nylon cord wrapping, which we hope unravels in emergency moments.  And while we’re sure the precision cast 7cr17 stainless steel blade is plenty sharp, the opposite end includes a pointed tip for picking off anyone sporting a football helmet or whatever protective gear they can dig up.
