Remember how we told you that you could get the Nokia Lumia 900 from Amazon Wireless for just $50 after a new 2-year contract signging? Not a bad deal, right, especially when you consider that everywhere else sells it for $99.99 on contract. How about if we told you that we could sweeten that deal and make you $50 via your AT&T bill?
While it might sound too good to be true, it apparently is. Were not entirely sure on the process, but due to a data hiccup that involves the Lumia 900’s memory, some AT&T customers are having a hard time connecting to the Internet. The resolve? AT&T is handing out anyone that bought the phone or buys the phone between now and the 21st of April a $100 credit on their monthly bill. Talk about taking what could conceivably be negative PR and turning it into brilliant marketing.
So what about your Internet connection? Nokia has already resolved the problem and is shipping updated phones to AT&T stores and retailers alike, so you should be able to switch out your handset for a new one, though we don’t know how cumbersome the process would be for those that bought the phone online. But in theory, if you buy one today you should get the updated handset, so it’s a moot issue.
