Remember those cell phone holders that used a double sided adhesive to mount to your car’s interior?  Some of you probably still have the stain from that dog ugly, plastic POS.  Boy have we got a better resolve, or so it would seem on paper.  Say hello to the WonderHolder.

Silly name aside, this mounting system is discrete and as far as we’re concerned is far more up to date than those crappy plastic car mounts thanks to the use of magnets.  It’s really quite simple.  A small puck like piece sticks to your car’s dash, or really any where you plan to mount your phone, while another smaller piece sticks to the back of your smartphone.  Once the adhesive is firmly secured you just place your device up to the puck, and whamo, magnets hold it in place.

The piece that sticks to your smartphone is pretty minimal in size and girth, though we’re not too jazzed about the aesthetic damage it does to the back of phone.  But hey, that’s the price you pay if you want an innocuous mount in your car.   They say that the WonderHolder won’t cause any harm to your device, so we’re not sure if that implies no sticky residue if you remove it or that you’re device’s performance won’t be impeded.  Let’s just hope it’s both and at $10 it might be worth finding out.
