Wander into the wilderness for a weekend retreat and odds are you’ll need to hack down a tree or three to stay warm.  That and you’ll want to indulge in some marshmallow toasting complemented by a smore after party.  In most instances a small hatchet would suffice for cutting down a tree, unless of course you can’t spare the room or the weight in your small pack.

The Sven Saw is a handy tool that deserves to be added to every trip into the woods – you never know when a storm will hit and you need to erect a fort.  What makes it so brilliant is that the sheath doubles as the handle.  So when you’re ready to knock down that birch tree, you just remove the blade and attach it to the handle as pictured above, and you’ll be able to saw into relatively large trunks thanks to the sturdy design.

The Sven Saw comes in two sizes: 15-inch and 21-inch.
