Needless to say we adore Sonos.  Don’t believe us, just check out our Sonos Play:3 review.  However, one of the major drawbacks of the system was their Mac/PC desktop controller.  By comparison to the iPhone and iPad apps it was a bit archaic looking and not all that user friendly.

Well, that’s all about to change as Sonos today officially unveiled their all new Desktop Controller app for Macs and PCs.  Checkout the above video, but the first thing you’ll notice, provided you already own a Sonos, is that the new Desktop Controller now mimics the iPads interface.  It’s now sleeker, easier to use and so much more appealing to look at.  However, there is one slight drawback:  in order to use Sonos 3.7, you’ll need Mac OS X 10.6 or higher and Windows XP Service Pack 3 or higher, including Vista and Windows 7.
