Knives, sharp objects – even metal utensils have been banned from flights.  Though the latter objects are starting to make their way back onto flights, but largely in first and business class cabins.  So how is a do-gooder citizen, such as yourself, to protect your family and those around you from would be terrorist or the crazies that board planes everyday?  One option is take martial arts or self defense classes.  But let’s be serious, who has time for that kind of tom foolery.  You need a tactical pen.

This particular tactical pen comes from Smith and Wesson. Yup, the same folks that have been manufacturing guns, as in weapons, longer than cars have been on the road.  It measures 5.7-inches and the body is crafted from hard-anodized aluminum.   A set of indentations not only give it a unique looks, but provide added grip and a comfortable fit in just about any hand, stabbing or writing (we hope).  The cap is a screw top, and hidden beneath it is an actual working tip that accepts common Parker and Hauser ink cartridges.  But the real source of damage is in the pen cap, which boasts a point that could easily puncture skin or explode an eyeball with the correct windup.

Amazon sells it for $26.
