Heading to the woods this Spring for some R&R? While you’re probably willing to skimp on running water and electricity, there is simply no reason the quality of your meals have to suffer in the hopes of connecting with nature and burning off some steam.
Coleman Outdoor Portable Oven/Stove brings the cooktop and oven to the great outdoors. Nope, you won’t need a generator or a wind turbine, though that latter power source would be a nice touch. Instead it runs off a disposable 1lb propane tank or can be adapted to work with those not-so-easy to carry 20lb propane tanks.
On top sit two 5,300-BTU burners that fire thanks to a built-in ignitor. They’re protected by a set of wind guards, which can double as prep trays before you kick on the flames. The oven is large enough to hold a 12-inch pizza pie or a 9×13-inch baking pan. It puts out 3,000 BTUs of heat, which can be monitored thanks to the window and built-in thermometer. The whole box is made of “rugged steel” with a durable enamel finish that should resist lakeside moisture and spills for time to come. Last, there are a set of carry handles and storage bags so crumb and other food debris don’t soil your car when you head back to the house. Just keep in mind the whole thing weighs 41lbs, which ain’t easy lifting.
You can grab one for $249.99.
Grew up back East, got sick of the cold and headed West. Since I was small I have been pushing buttons - both electronic and human. With an insatiable need for tech I thought "why not start a blog focusing on technology, and use my dislikes and likes to post on gadgets."
