Jump out of a plane, go knee deep in the fluffiest of powder or perform a triple back flip and you can all but guarantee one of GoPro’s action cams is strapped to the action. However, one drawback of this camera is that it only rocks a fixed lens. So you can forget about a fish eye shot or perhaps a wider field of view. Unless of course you’ve got your mits on the CamOne Infinity.
At first blush it looks like a complete knock off of GoPro’s version. Yes, it’s very similar looking and yes it too can records full HD video at 30fps or 72o at 60fps. But what sets this action cam apart is that the lens is hot swappable, allowing you to replace the standard one with a 142- or 96-degree lens option. Additionally, there is also a live view LCD screen, which is nice touch for setting up the shot and reviewing your just performed stunt. Recordings are stored to two microSD card slots that support up to 32GB each, while a 800mAh battery enables 90 minute recordings between recharges. Lastly, a WiFi module lets you view and control recordings from a smartphone.
The CamOne Infinity should be available now, though we’re not too sure on price.
