Self-lacing sneaker – we wish.  Sneakers that measure your workout – cool, but they hardly say “look at me.”

Reebox has teamed up with Solebox to produce the Solebox Omni Zone Pump.  No, they won’t count your steps, lace up automatically or help you lead a more fulfilling life – well, the last point is arguable.  But what they will definitely help you do is attract more attention.  Built into the side of the sneaker is a green LED light that can be turned on or off with the flip of a switch.  And let’s not forget the Pump system from the early 90s.  Integrated into the tongue of the sneaker is a squeezable button that inflates a set of airbags causing the shoe to tighten its grip on your foot.  If you never had a pair as a kid you were deprived and you gotta try them.

Solebox hasn’t said how much, but you can expect them to arrive sometime this April.  Pricing will probably be off the chain as these sneaks are surely a collector’s item.
