There you are, minding your own business at a coffee shop or on the train station platform when a thief cruises by like a bat out of hell and pinches your bag. Odds are it’s full of important documents, a laptop and at the very least the lunch your wifey worked so hard to prepare. Cliches aside, wouldn’t it be great to know you had a deterrent that would spring into action in this kind of predicament?
If we had the choice, we’d opt for this super old school ant-theft bag security system. We’re not sure how old the video is (supposedly it’s from a 1991 show) or if the gadget is legit, but damn if it ain’t effective. For those of you too lazy to watch, some how a set of collapasable metal poles explode from interior of the case and prevent the would be thief from literally running off with your goods. It’s not clear how the poles, or arms eject, but if you watch closely, you’ll see that more than 50% of the case’s interior is occupied by what are presumambly the mechanics.
That said, we’d love to see an updated version that uses some sort of inflatable ball system.
