Keep our shoes securely strapped to our feet has never been an issue. That doesn’t mean we wouldn’t jump on the chance to wear Marty McFlies sneakers, which are are “self lacing.” Nike released a version of the Back to the Future sneakers late last year and despite owning a patent for such a shoe, they failed to offer the futuristic feature – cost for the shoes would have been astronomical if not impossible to manufacturer. That’s why we’ll have to settle for adidas’ SLVR Plim Lace High Tops.
adidas has incorporated a unique lacing system that runs through the tongue of the shoe insuring not just a unique look but an ultra snug fit. The shoe appears to be crafted from leather and features a white toecap. In addition to a black version, they’ll also offer a white model of the sneaker, though the toe cap will remain the same color, white.
adidas hasn’t released any additional info regarding the price of these shoes, but expect them to fetch a premium on Ebay once they sell out.
