Folding a stroller into its collapsable position can sometimes take a degree in engineering, not to mention a boat load of patience. So wouldn’t you like to hit a button and have someone do the work for you, especially when you’re already juggling probably not one but two or three children in the mix. Now you can.
The Origami is the world’s first power-foldeing stroller. Just hit a button and it collapses in just a few seconds time, making it compact enough to slip into most trunks and other storage areas.
No it won’t squash the kid. A sensor built into the seat detects when your tike is present and prevents it from crushing your child’s body. But that’s not its only feature. The Origami sports an LCD screen, which displays your mileage walked. And in the event you like to stroll at night there are a whole mess of lights (daytime running lights, pathway lights for low-light conditions) as a well a regenerative wheel system that can power the electronics as well as an attached cell phone.
Course, all this fanciness comes at a price of $849.99, when it ships January 6, 2012.
Grew up back East, got sick of the cold and headed West. Since I was small I have been pushing buttons - both electronic and human. With an insatiable need for tech I thought "why not start a blog focusing on technology, and use my dislikes and likes to post on gadgets."
