We’re in love with the Tesla S. Here’s hoping they provide us with a review unit (imagine us begging and pleading on our knees).
If this model wasn’t enough green tech for us to gush over, Elon Musk, the car company’s CEO, announced earlier this week that they’ll launch a Sport version, which rockets the car from 0-60 in a reported 4.4-4.6 seconds. Fast? You bet, though the standard S accomplishes this feat in 5.5 seconds, so which ever one you end up with your penchant for speed will surely be satiated.
Apparently, 1 second comes at a cost. More specifically $25,000, making the final cost, before rebates $80,000. However, Tesla will toss in a set of aerodynamic wheels and their largest battery pack allowing you to drive up to 320 miles on a single charge.
These speeds are relatively unorthodox in a sedan vehicle. Fold in the ability to transport up to 7 passengers without sacraficing storage and you’ve got the world’s best electric car with some balls behind it. And let’s not forget about those massive LCD screens on the dash and center console.
