Grew up back East, got sick of the cold and headed West. Since I was small I have been pushing buttons - both electronic and human. With an insatiable need for tech I thought "why not start a blog focusing on technology, and use my dislikes and likes to post on gadgets."

  1. Hi, i did this and it only shows up under regular “ringtones” not under the ringtones under the “text tones” or under any other alerts… Please help. Thanks

    • hi. i have two “tones” on my phone but only the one that is shorter in length (the file happens to be 3 seconds), shows up under text tones. I suggest you trim the file down to minimal number of seconds. The article suggests 7-10.

  2. I did all of the steps, and nothing has shown up on my phone. I had literally done the same exact thing 5 minutes ago and that tone showed up on my phone, and not just my iTunes library.

  3. They have to be at least five seconds, and they will show up under ringtones, not text tones.  You can still set it as a text tone though.

dit: at least my phone has to be at least 5 seconds. using iphone 4 updated ios, non jb
