Gadget of the Week: Sub-zero PRO 48 Refrigerator with Glass Door

Fridges aren’t often regarded as a thing of beauty, but we’re willing to make an exception for the Sub-zero PRO 48 Refrigerator.  It packs in a variety of features that will have any chef salivating: dual refrigeration (two compressors and three evaporators keep foods fresher longer and prevent odor transfer), exterior temperature display, a microprocessor and interior control panel with up-front touch controls, crisper drawer with a touch and glide seal glass door, auto-close hinge and a triple-pane, UV-resistant glass door.

Do not buy a Sub Zero 48″ side by side refrig. I have to ice pick the Ice machine once a week to get the ice to drop out of the slot. Repair people have been out, and admit is a design flaw. This is a very expensive top of the line machine…no excuse for this poor design.
