Today, at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime announced that Netflix streaming will coming to the Nintendo 3Ds sometime this summer.

Much like the iPhone, 3Ds users will be able to stream movies over WiFi, pause, fast forward and rewind. ¬†However, they’ll also be able to easily continue watching the same content on their Nintendo Wii, though it’s not clear if the feature will be any more advanced than Netflix’s current feature set, which allows you to continue watching content where you left off from any device.

Don’t expect 3D movies or TV shows from Netflix any time soon, though Nintendo is apparently in works with Hollywood studios to produce three dimensional compatible movies and content for the handheld.
