iPhone Money Reader App Speaks US Currency, Helps The Visually Impaired (video)

Looktel Money Reader 650x470 iPhone Money Reader App Speaks US Currency, Helps The Visually Impaired (video)

Looktel just dropped their latest app in the iPhone app store called Money Reader. It’s designed for the visually impaired or blind, and can recognize money and speak the denomination in real time, which means you don’t have to take a photo or have an Internet connection for it to work.  Just point the iPhone’s camera at the money and it will recognize $1, $2, $5, $10, $20, $50, and $100 bills.

We’re not sure how fast the app works, but we’ve seen some of the other Looktel apps of the past and their pretty speedy, as in with a second or two.

You can buy the app for $1.99.
