iPad Wooden Smartcovers Are Way Better Than Apples, Cost Just $65 (video)
There is no doubt that Apple’s Smartcovers for the iPad 2 are one sweet piece of kit, provided of course you’re not looking for a folio experience. However, they do sport one major flaw. What is it? Those darn hinges, which take away from the tablet’s svelte and sleek finish. And let’s not forget they don’t offer a cherry wood version, much like Miniot.
The small, we’ve never heard of company, is producing and selling their own version of Apple’s Smartcover for $65 a pop. Much like Apple’s version it doubles not only as a cover to protect your iPad’s screen, but works as a stand and provides all the same positions without the need for a set of hinges. We’re assuming the lack of physical hooks to the iPad might mean it could slip off with the wrong pull, but based on the below video it looks up to snuff.
