Still searching for an affordable gaming headset? Look no further than Harman Audio’s AKG GHS-1 gaming headset. The specs aren’t anything outside of the norm, but you’ll probably be pleased to hear that it received a Red Dot award for outstanding product design. But looks aren’t everything, so why don’t we dish up some of the specs.
It’s equipped with a 6mm directional cardioid boom microphone that purportedly filters out background noise and a set of inline volume controls, along with an on/off mic switch, means you’ll never have to futz with your gaming console. While it’s devoid of active noise cancellation, Harmon is pushing the GHS-1’s closed back design, which supposedly adds comfort and passive noise cancellation. There is no mention of driver size, but if the specs are to be believed they should provide an 18Hz-24kHz frequency response.
Grew up back East, got sick of the cold and headed West. Since I was small I have been pushing buttons - both electronic and human. With an insatiable need for tech I thought "why not start a blog focusing on technology, and use my dislikes and likes to post on gadgets."
