Apple Now Issuing $100 Refund To iPad Customers, Gen 1 iPad Selling for $399
Looking for a deal on an iPad? Look no further than Apple’s own website, who is now selling the Gen 1, 16GB, WiFi only iPad for $399. This price drop is a result of Apple announcing the iPad 2 earlier this week and is surely an attempt to clear inventory.
So what about the folks that bought the original iPad just days before the unveiling of the iPad 2? Well, there’s some good news there as well. Apple will refund you $100, which will be reflected on your credit card statement. However, in order to receive this refund you would have had to had purchased your iPad within 14 days of the March 2nd iPad 2 unveiling. There might be a wider window of opportunity, so if you bought your iPad on February 12th, or something to that effect, we suggest you ring Apple’s customer service line (800-692-7753) directly.
