Come this summer, AT&T will begin to sell Acer’s Iconia Tab A501 tablet computer.   It plays nice with 4G connectivity and sports a 10-inch 1280×768 touchscreen display, a 5 megapixel camera on the back, a front facing camera for video calls and an HDMI port that support full HD playback on a connected HDTV.  It will ship with Android 3.0 and NVIDIA’s Tegra 250 1GHz dual core processor with integrated graphics.

It’s hard to say if this tablet will “take off”.  Acer’s a little late to the game and they’re competing with the likes of Samsung’s latest tablets, the iPad 2 and Blackberry Playbook.
