Hindsight 30 Rear View Bicycle System Watches Your Tail

Cycling in the city ain’t no joke.  Even though drivers are encased in 2 tons of steel and oil they’re still oblivious to most bicyclists.  That’s why you gotta have a set of eyes in the back of your head.  Or you could simply invest in this handy rear view camera system from Cerevellum.

Called the Hindsight 30, it calls for a 3.5-inch transflective display to be mounted on your handle bars.  Thanks to the magic of wireless technology (it actually might be wired) it connects with a small camera mounted underneath the rider’s seat and provides a crystal clear view of what’s coming up the rear.

They say the battery, a Lithium-ion, is good for up to 13 hours of use on a single charge.  Why they don’t include a dynamo or magnetic recharging system to provide a self sustainable source of power is anyone’s guess.  However, the system does includes a front and rear LED light for added safety.  And we don’t see why you couldn’t or wouldn’t use this with your motorcycle.

There is currently no word on a price or launch date, but we’re sort of hoping they have an iPhone compatible model.  Pretty please?
