Smartfish first broke on the scene with their Whirl mouse that offered what they claimed to be a design that reduced repeated strain to the wrist. So what better way to round out their product offering than to offer a keyboard of a similar ilk, the Engage.
It uses a patented motion system that studies your typing frequency and subtly changes your hand and wrist position while you work. Nope, we’re not kidding. The keyboard moves left to right as well as up and down as you type. Sure, we’re a bit skeptical since at a glance of the video leads one to believe that you’ll be chasing the keys as you type. But perhaps the changes are so subtle your hands automatically adjust and as a result, which is Smartfishes’ goal, repetitive stress injury is negated.
It looks like the Engage Ergomotion keyboard is available now for $149.95.
