Stop me if you’ve heard this one before: the VooMote One converts your iPhone or iPod Touch in a universal remote control for your home theater gear.  Yup, it’s an old story and now an old product idea.  But that hasn’t stopped from jumping into the crowded marketplace of infrared remote add-ons for the iPhone.

Much like other cases that we’ve seen, you slip the iPhone (or iPod Touch) into the case, and using an accompanying app you can select from a database to control up to 98% of today’s products. If that doesn’t work you can teach it commands using your old remotes.  Some other features include macro settings and multiple remote setups according to the room.

The company currently lists their preorder page in euros only, so we’re not sure if they’ll sell the case in the US when it arrives Q1 of 2011 for €69.
