They appear to be a mix of retro audio styling mixed with messenger bags and Apple’s industrial design. Each box has a 3.5mm AUX input as well as a USB input – no iPod dock, which we swear we saw during our first read.
The flagship of the three boxes has two 6-inch drivers at 10 watts and a 6-inch sub at 15 watts. There is also a mic input, two RCA outputs, a volume knob carved from a hunk of steel and a handle that is just dripping in industrial design.
The smaller version has just two 6-inch drivers but is said to run off a crap load of D batteries in addition to being A/C powered. It’s essentially the same design, smaller and has a leather shoulder strap.
The last speaker is literally a box, and uses the same 6-inch drivers. No word on a subwoofer on this bad boy, but we sure hope given the design; think downward firing bass.
Word is that they’ll be available April 2011 and cost $499, $399 and $299 respectively.
