Onkyo’s introduced a new audio-video mini system, the CS-V645, and also a stereo mini system – the CS-445.

The CS-V645 is a diminutive powerhouse that comes with a DVD/CD player, built in dock for the iPod. It accepts USB cables, can upscale DVDs to 1080p, outputs high definition HDMI, has two loudspeakers and supports DivX, MP3, WMA and JPEG.

Less powerful, the CS-445 stereo system plays CD’s CD-R and CD-RW media with standard CD-audio, MP3, and WMA files, has a built in dock for the iPod and iPhone, which, with CD collections dwindling, will be this system’s main music sources.

On both systems the 40-watt stereo amplifier is accompanied by a pair of two-way bass-reflex loudspeakers with 1-inch soft dome tweeters and the company’s signature OMF (Onkyo Micro Fiber) woofer cones, and they also both come with a remote control capable of controlling all functions.
