After three years of arduous, strenuous, and probably coffee-driven research, the nice people from Illycaffe and MM Design, under the watchful leadership of Carlo Bach (yes, we know you’ve never heard of them) have come up with the Y1 – a supremely compact coffee machine, that takes aluminum, glass and stainless steel and fits them inside an attractive 10” square body.

Every component needed for coffee-making is hidden inside the little base, which also acts as a storage compartment for cups. Illycafe’s metodo Iperespresso boasts five patents to support its process of extracting coffee aromas the right way, and can also make velvety “crema”.
