HDTV — 02 September 2010

Well, forget the PlayStation 3 as the big name in 3D gaming. In a somewhat unexpected announcement, Panasonic has teamed up with Ubisoft to bring their games to 3D capable HDTVs, no console required. They’re in the early stages of development, and there’s no word yet on what sort of controller they’ll use or what sets will feature the games, but the company expects Shaun White Snowboarding and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon to be the first titles. This could be either a great or a terrible idea, depending on how the games look and play.
